Startup again

Hello friends,
Back again. Nice sunny sunday: cold (minus 5, at night minus 15!) but a clear sky and hard light. No photo-inspiration though. Got myself a brand new cam: the unique Canon S95! Had only a startersguide to start with, but downloaded the full manual from the net, so there should be some nice pics comming up soon.
The instruction for these weeks is (in short) 'shooting with flash', but I'm not sure what to think of it. It's new for me, that's for sure, and I don't mind stretching my limmits for a new experience, but with flash?
The #10 instruction is from the hand of Eric Kim, and I've been following his blog for almost 2 years now, and watched him develop from blogger towards fulltime streetshooter, and it's only very recent that he has been takinng up the flashtechnique, and with the doubts that came allong with it, so is it fair to push it on streetstarters as me?
I'm thinking of trying a diffrent approche for the next two weeks, see what it'll bring me.
